Update on the IndiaTimes Compromise

Some good news regarding the IndiaTimes compromise. They contacted us on Saturday to tell us they had begun cleanup and investigation into the attacks. From what we've seen thus far, all is well again. I want to point out that the IndiaTimes is also a victim of this - not just the people who visited the compromised pages. And the IndiaTimes was not the only site compromised by this particular attack. We discovered a few dozen others that were or had been unknowingly hosting the same.

So kudos to IndiaTimes - it was Diwali this weekend in India, a significant multi-day celebration. But they cut the festivities short and took care of the problem after all. The media played a significant part in getting this to happen, as did the many bloggers who also sent out warnings. A very big thank you to all who helped get the word out.
